Alicia (16 May 2007) I was very impressed with a recent visit to Verbanella in Blandford St. The staff were excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and extremely polite. Having coeliacs (unable to eat gluten), eating out can be tricky but they checked requirements when we booked the table, then provided gluten-free bread on arrival (which I have never had in a restaurant before), went through the menu with me, confirming the contents of dishes and which ones were gluten-free. The food was delicious - one of my party was particularly impressed with chocolate cake - and it was great value for money. Highly recommended. maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl=en&rlz=1T4ACAW_enBG364GB351&wrapid=tlif129664447052910&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=verbanella+restaurant+london&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=verbanella+restaurant&hnear=Westminster,+London&cid=3028858546925691080
It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air, that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.
