Afternoon Tea - special treat Posted by Suzanne on 9/1/2005 Yesterday afternoon I was treated to an afternoon tea which had been booked in advance by my daughter at the "Sheraton Hotel Park Lane" in Piccadilly London. The head chef had baked g/free bread and I was provided with 5 different fillings in my sandwichs. Followed by a plate of g/free scones, delicate chocolate cakes,a individual triffle, individual apple & blackberry crumble and a selection of fresh fruits with a custard type dip! Needless to say that I didnt eat the vast selection but I made sure I tasted each one. A wonderful treat the cost was £22 per head but you could stay there all afternoon and enjoy the surroundings and listen to the harp being played....Last year I was taken to the Ritz for afternoon tea at the cost of £35, and the selection and taste was definately beaten by the Sheraton...First class venue if you want to treat a Coeliac. www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/ ... ertyID=105
