I visited Pug restaurant on Wednesday 17 October (2001) for lunch. The staff were helpful and unpatronising, but the service was rather slow. I had seabass with a lime and coriander dressing, lemon 'bits', squashed potatoes, artichokes and roasted cherry tomatoes, with winter veg (which I paid extra for) and then almond and pear creme brulee - all of which was very nice. It was expensive though - the bill came to just under £50 for two main meals, two desserts and two drinks (as I paid by card, we had to pay the standard 12.5% tip)!
