Gluten Free ....

All of these food outlets {below} include gluten information on their web sites. It's a good idea to check the web site before you go if you know you are going to one of these as the menus seem to change quite often. They should have the list somewhere at the outlet for the staff to check for you though they can't always find them. I've had to tell them where they keep the folder a few times!

Follow the 'Nutritional info' link on the right part way down the page. I think gluten free foods are marked on their normal menu at the pub but haven't tried them yet myself.

You have to look at the details for each item to find the GF foods. As far as I can remember there is only the organic Gluten Free Double Chocolate Brownie but it's nice with a coffee. Just spotted the Chocolate Mousse Dessert Pot and 2 out of 3 soups are OK too.

Again you need to check each item. I usually manage to get a soup here. They usually have one meat and one vegetarian soup that changes from day to day. They have no-bread sandwiches too, listed under 'Salads, Soups and Sushi'.
Some people find restaurant cards that explain coeliac and what we can and can't eat useful. There are some free ones here, www.celiactravel.com/restaurant-cards.html and there are others you can pay for and get personalised or you could make up your own for use in England at least. They are especially useful when abroad or even when visiting an ethnic restaurant in the UK. If you can't speak directly to the chef they avoid the risk of the 'chinese whisper effect' when messages are passed via a waiter or waitress. There is an English version on the link above.
....the 'Map' link .... lists user recommended restaurants, etc. www.sillyyak.co.uk/map/
This is a link to the Coeliac UK page for visitors to the UK .....
www.coeliac.co.uk/glutenfree_living/94.asp
It includes information on where to stay, restaurants (including a link to their own restaurant guide/list) and where to buy GF food.
