GF board
Hi, just back from a weekend break to Salisbury which was very nice but the usual finding something to eat was difficult. .........There was an organic deli in Market Square where you could buy the odd gf product. I would recommend that anyone visiting Salisbury makes sure that that their accommodation/hotel caters for GF instead of trying wing like me. On a more positive note, I can highly recommend "Scotland Lodge Farm, Winterbourne Stoke" B & B. Lovely home feel, beautiful countryside, very friendly, organic produce and very understanding. Only 15 mins outside Salisbury, ideal for sight seeing.

Salisbury Cathedral Refectory Restaurant Went to the Cathedral & Refectory Restaurant today- the chef was knowledgable about GF diet & as I am vegetarian as well as coeliac I had mushroom frittata with vegetables but a non-veggie coeliac could have eg salmon & veg . Soup was GF. You do not have to actually visit the Catherdral to get to the restaurant (go to the right at main entrance for restaurant only) . Great views of the spire in restaurant! ***************************************************** The Refectory Restaurant offers a self-service facility for light snacks, morning coffee, hot and cold lunches, afternoon tea - and plenty more besides. Opened in April 2000, this new building provides a unique area in which to relax and enjoy reasonably priced food and drink under its glass roof, with views to the spire soaring 123m (404 ft) above you. www.salisburycathedral.co.uk/vis ... ctory_shop

Yesterday I went to The Kings Head, 1 Bridge Street, Salisbury. It's right in the centre of the city and is a big Wetherspoons pub/hotel with two floors of dining/drinking area and their usual large Gluten Free choice. All GF food is marked on their menus.
Nice views, comfy seats, child friendly and a good place to relax (plus outside seating area by the river for any smokers, but couldn't see a play area through the smoke fumes).
