Posted by Dawn on GF board As I mentioned before the High Wycombe Group decided to have their post Christmas Meal at Aylesbury College Catering College Restaurant. It cost £12 a head for a 3 course meal - which they promised would be totally gluten free. We had bread rolls (which they had bought in) which they didn't warm through and were only just edible. The rest of the meal however was wonderful I had mushroom and coriander soup followed by Lamb, with the most wonderful vegetables and a passion fruit pavlova with was lovely. The gentleman that was in charge of the students that night explained that the restaurant was open two nights a week for bookings and if you told them when booking you were on a gluten free diet they would be very happy to cater for you. I don't have CD my daughter does but if this helps the chefs of the future to understand and practice cooking with gluten free ingredients it can't be a bad thing. ***************************************************** www.aylesbury.ac.uk/index.asp?id=59
