....I make drop scones with 4oz self raising flour (Orgran - on prescription) 1-2 eggs beaten with 1oz sugar 1/8-1/4 pint of milk. This makes a thick mixture. I put a serving spoon of mixture into a hot frying pan and fry them in melted butter. Have tried doing them the night before but she prefers them fresh! This makes about 8-10 drop scones - havent tried leaving the mixture in the fridge overnight yet. I'm no cook but I've got it down to 20 minutes to make these, cool them and get in the lunch box (not a morning person!) ..............
