GF boiard Went to the Pepperbox Inn for hubby's works meal. We'd previously gone for a try out with friends to make sure they could cater for me (GF and DF). Fantastic place. Manager is a former dietician, chefs were all very helpful and aware. Everything was checked and even re-checked. On the night the chef came and spoke to me, and I also had two phone calls about the meals.
Last night I had:
Roasted Squash, Chilli and Coconut Soup - yummy!
Pot Roasted Guinea Fowl with orange, chestnut and madeira sauce - the sauce was amended slightly for me, but was delicious.
No puddings were suitable so I said I'd have some fruit - the usual! - but they did Poached Pear in Chocolate Sauce, garnished with berry fruits - wonderful!! And my husband had this too, because he didn't like any of the pudding choices. Others also wished they'd known about this option! So I felt quite the centre of attention for all the right reasons!
I thoroughly recommend this place - for Kent Foodies it's off the A20 in a place called Fairbourne Heath, near Ulcombe, Grafty Green, Platt's Heath etc.
