went to Caernarfon this weekend. premiere inn was very good even tho short staffed. usual buffet items, usual hot food, hash browns gf and cooked alone, bubble and squeak lovely. toast provided and cooked separately in kitchen. in Conwy we went to the Archway chippy. gf fish chips and peas. gorgeous. clued up staff, I called ahead but u can order any time just 10 min wait for gf. in Caernarfon the black boy pub had an extensive menu and a big chunk of it was gf. asked about cross con etc the day before we are there and felt confident. they alert kitchen to gf diners via electronic till then precautions are taken. allergen book available, nice large print too! plenty of gf options including all of the specials. rice pud, fruit salad, crème brulee, ice creams all available too. food was super, huge plates but also huge portions. highly recommend a visit if u are nearby. busy as anything tho so go early as u cant book. after 6.30 it was rammed. worth an early dinner for such a good feed after a day in the mountains!
on our travels we saw plenty of gf cakes in little cafes too. supermarkets well stocked for a gf picnic on the run.
