Gluten Free on Isle of Wight Posted by Geraldine on 19/9/2015 GF Message Board
We got back home yesterday, after a few days on the Isle of Wight.
We didn't have any problems with the gluten free diet, had continental breakfast each morning, and one evening meal at Table Table, attached to the Premier Inn we were staying in.
Had lunch at The Sun Inn, Calbourne on Wednesday, reasonable prices and a number of gluten free options. Good thing about this pub, was that for many of the choices, you could have a smaller portion if you wanted, at half the cost of the full size portion.
The Three Bishops at Brightstone was the pub we went to for lunch on Thursday. The specials board was gluten free for all but one item. The food was very good, freshly cooked to order, we'd definitely go back there.
We didn't see anything gluten free on the Wightlink ferries we crossed on, so just had mugs of tea.
Marks and Spencers, Simply Food at Cowes had gluten free sandwiches, husband had the BLT which is a new gluten free offering. He said it was very nice, and he wouldn't mind having that again.
