Hotel La Palma, Stresa
The hotel has a gf menu, although mainly I had my meals from the main menu adapted to my needs. The pasta came on a different shaped plate, so that was a double check before it was given to me. 'Coeliac' was on our table number and at breakfast I was given a plate, sealed with cling film which consisted of a roll, muesli (no oats), crackers and a biscuit of some kind. For the evening meal, the muesli was substituted with bread sticks. It was my first time staying at a hotel since being diagnosed and I really felt safe with what I was eating. Also, on going into the town, one of the ice cream shops was gluten free - heaven! We had stayed at this hotel over a number of years before I was diagnosed, lovely to be able to return and eat safely. Margaret
