Another Coeliac and I went today, there were about 5 dinners we could have but they were curry, chilli con carne, sweet and sour or omelette. The meals were very well cooked but the meals could not be changed like the fish was in sauce but they all come in frozen so you can,t say can I have fish without the sauce. The only hot sweet we could have was rice pudding, otherwise, yoghurt or icecream or fruit. Mind you the rice pudding was delicious, although if you were admitted you wouldn,t want it every day, and see others eat fruit pies and treacle puddings. We asked if they had any gluten free bread and they made up a selection of sandwiches which even non-coeliacs enjoyed. The bread was Juvela fibre which comes in frozen and they put it in microwave. They are working on the menus to get more gluten free choices. We were looked after like royalty. Well done the William Harvey Hospital.
