Posted by Jan (Suffolk) on 27/8/2012, 18:00:28 Today we went for a bank holiday row on Thorpeness Meare (near Aldeburgh) Suffolk and afterwards went into the tearooms for an ice-cream. On looking at the menu it said they could do GF toasted sandwiches, I asked if they were aware of cross contamination issues and was told that they were as the owner is gluten intolerant. I also asked about the chips, but unfortunately they are not cooked separately from bread and battered stuff . . . . the owner said that she could tolerate them, but I explained that that was not an option for someone with CD. We ordered a GF sandwich and the person made it in a separate area and all was good. Also, there was about 7 different cake choices, which were all kept on the top shelf of a glass cabinet - they looked lovely, but we didn't try any. Could someone add the link to the Supp. Board please meareshop.co.uk/index.html
