Stayed at the Lancaster House hotel (just outside Lancaster!) last weekend - highly recommended. Menu is marked gf.

Walked to the Stork Inn at Conder Green (about 4 miles along the canal towpath).

Excellent pub with loads of gf options. The young waiter had us fooled for a while when we ordered 2 biltong pates for starters (one gf and one normal). He reckoned all their bread was gf - we said we didn't think so! The kitchen obviously knew otherwise and thankfully Sian's bread was different to mine. They do though have "real-ale battered fish and chips" on the menu marked as gf but we didn't test them on that.hubby) on 17/7/2012, 13:06:03
