Just come back from Makadi Palace in Eygpt. All of the staff were very good and the executive chef is Scottish so there wasnt any language barrier and he was excellent, very helpful he met me every day to ensure that my food was gluten free and not contaminated.
I would advise anyone to contact the hotel in advance to let them know that you have special dietary requirements.
