Posted by Louisa Cheshire on 15/4/2012, 18:10:15 I Mentioned about this restaurant a couple of weeks ago as we were staying in the area. We decided to have a meal there as it was less than 10 minutes in the car from the caravan site we were staying at. The choice for all the courses was excellent. I had garlic mushrooms to start. The portion was generous and it came with what I am sure was a fibre ds roll that had been warmed. For main course I had the lamb shank and for pudding I had a chocolate brownie. It was all very tasty and it was great to have a pudding that didn't contain fruit! I would go again if I was in the area. When we were paying the bill the manageress mentioned that the owner followed a gluten free diet but wasn't a diagnosed coeliac. They have another restaurant near York. www.thecopperhorse.co.uk/menus/gluten-free.html
