Whenever we are travelling on the M40 we always try to eat at the Malt Shovel, Gaydon (Junction 12). The owner is French, all the food is cooked on the premises so they know what is in every dish. They do not mark any dishes gluten-free but several of the cooked dishes are naturally without gluten. We also enjoy their salads but sometimes they add couscous so you need to ensure they do not put it on any you choose. I can also recommend the house red, it is very quafable. From Junction 12 turn towards Gaydon, go straight across the round-about then take the first left (indicated to Village Shop). The Malt Shovel is almost immediately on your right and it has a car park. From memory lunch is served from 12.30 to 2pn and dinner from 6.30 to 9pm.
