We LOVE whitstable! Nice place :-)
We've eaten at the Crab and Winkle Restaurant a couple of times, it's great quality food but you pay a bit for it, never had a problem as far as we know. www.crab-winkle.co.uk

We've also eaten at www.giovannisrestaurant.co.uk (only once though) it's Italian. Didn't have a problem there either, lovely food.

Have asked at a place called Pearson's if they could cater and they said yes, but never made it there. Pearsons Crab and Oyster House Restaurant and Pub Sea Wall, Whitstable

This is also a fish and chip shop there and last time we went (last summer) their chips were safe, can't remember the name though. Rough directions......

as you go down the highstreet the road forks and you are forced to go down the left fork in your car, well, the fish and chip shop is down the right hand fork, on the left. Sorry I can't be more precise.

Or, if you get your map out, you could drive a little further down the coast towards Margate to Birchington, the Paragon fish and chip shop there does fantastic GF fish and chips and you can eat in (very informal). The owner's wife is coeliac so he knows all about it. We went there last friday...lovely!

Hi, my husband took my sons camping on Saturday night near Birchington and ventured to the Paragon Fish & Chip shop for supper. William was delighted he could have the fish and chips like everyone else and ate every srubbish on his plate although fit to burst. If only other restaurants could follow suit, it made William's weekend. …

Hi, We live near Whitstable. The fish & chip shop is Jones's in Harbour Street, 01227 272703. Their chips are safe and they do a nice piece of chicken. They have a sit down area at the back, gets very busy when the weather is good. We often get take away and sit on the beach. Also the Rose In Bloom PH, 69 Joy Lane is ok if you talk to them when you phone, 01227 276502
