GF board
....Whilst the food on the Celebration was very good and the waiters in the main dining room and the staff in the Lido looked after me very well I have to admit that I preferred the gluten free food on the Destiny and the Spirit. On these 2 I used to choose my meal the night before and I always got a g/f dessert, not so on the Celebration even though I asked for something other than fresh fruit or ice cream. We ended up sitting at the same table for the last few nights so that the waiter could organise something for me. I thought the self service restaurants on the Destiny and Spirit had a better selection of g/f at lunchtime. I did get the g/f scones on the Celebration that April was talking about and instead of sandwiches I used to have buttered toast instead. There was a lovely guy in the Lido who used to look after me (I think his name was Ronald!) he was lovely. Jun was the Maitre D. I certainly would go back on the Celebration again so it can't have been that bad!!

- there are 3 Coeliacs so when we went on both the Spirit & Celebration they brought the menus to us at the beginning of the evening meal rather than the night before - they had marked on it which was or could be made GF & there were fresh desserts every night. On both ships we had the same waiters every night & so they obviously knew us and our situation ("advantage" of having 3 coeliacs, maybe?!!) It is a different Maitre D - the one we had on the Celebration went to the Dream.
We didn't feel the Spirit were as clued up as the Celebration in the Lido when we went; we were on the Celebration in 2009 and Spirit in 2010.
