Another vote for Cottos (Lambeth North tube station just over Westminster Bridge.) ONly open in the evening on Saturday. Very authentic Italian, GF PIzza, rizotto, pasta - about 90% of the menu has a GF option.

Don't forget:
PJs Grill, Wellington Street (advisable to book though on a weekend) (at the back of the Transport Museum in Covent Garden).
Sophie's Steakhouse, opposite the above, seem quite clued up.
Da Mario's, Endell Street, also near Covent Garden, does gluten free pasta, as does a Carluccios too

I like this place. Have only been for lunch which is cheaper but they do an evening deal: www.ledeuxieme.com/

Wahaca is definitely a must for cheap, filling and ethical Mexican eats (many GF): www.squaremeal.co.uk/restaurants/london/view/84630/Wahaca

Go for Street Food :Tacos (with Pork pibil - Slow cooked pork-£3.95 esp good) and Taquitos. Don’t spend more than £8
Also nearby in Maiden Lane is Oz shop with the wonderful Butterfingers GF macadamia shortbread. You MUST try these. Only available here.

A treat? I’d be tempted to try (if you like fish) Sheekey’s sounds good: www.squaremeal.co.uk/restaurants/london/view/81195/J_Sheekey
or L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon if someone else was paying: www.toptable.com/venue/?id=4346
BTW greatly enjoyed lunch here (2 courses and a glass of prosecco: £20) recently (more expensive in evening). Starter came with GF bread (unasked for but had mentioned when booking). The long, tall velvet and gold room is such fun and so surprising in Piccadilly:
Criterion Restaurant 224 Piccadilly, Piccadilly, W1J 9HP www.toptable.com/venue/?id=13357
All would need booking except Wahaca.
