Crussh chain, London
I have been advised by Crussh that all their salads (including dressings*), juices and smoothies are gluten-free, and that they also sell some gluten-free snacks and cakes. Their gluten-free products are labelled as such. They are also trying to find a source for gluten-free bread.
They currently have seven branches in London - the addresses are stated on their website, which is:

* some of their salads include croutons, which are optional.

I had a response back from Wagamama restaurants after I emailed them my comments with regards to their allergy table being a little incorrect and if they would think about doing Rice Noodles as an alternative option to their all wheat noodles. They seem to take customers' comments very seriously and I got very good prompt responses to mine. They were very apologetic and they have removed the allergy table because it is wrong, I've asked them to replace it once it has been amended because it is very useful. They have also said they are looking to do a rice noodle dish in autumn that we can enjoy too They were very grateful that I had made them aware of my experiences in their restaurant and about updating their info on the website, they seem to like customer feedback whether good or bad.

Latest info if you don't already know. Just checked their website and they have now posted a new up to date (& amended as I instructed them) special dietary list of what coeliacs can eat at their restaurants, it also includes other dietary requirements too like dairy, nut etc. If you are thinking of visiting them, its worth taking this list with you, helps the staff out loads to help you better.
For anyone who is interested, I went to the Wagamama in the City on Old Broad Street, London last night. Have to admit I was very impressed!! The service was quick and excellent!
I took with me the special dietary list and the staff in the kitchen recently got trained in gluten free foods and cooking. So one came out and had a chat to me, we decided on a dish I was allowed, but because some things I couldn't have in the dish, he got the chef to add more of what I could have to make my dinner tastier and it really was. I was so chuffed
**************
I can recommend Wagamama for excellent (vegetarian) GF meal.
We went there early one evening (without booking, just came across this Japanese restaurant) & I explained I was a vegetarian coeliac , asked if I could have meal there. Ate one of their vegetarian dishes which had various stir-fry type vegetables including pak choi & also tofu with rice noodles & delicious soup-like sauce tasting of creamed coconut.
The non-veggie non-coeliac had a rice & chicken dish which probably was GF- or could be made so as everything is prepared fresh ( kitchen is in full view & they seemed very busy all the time cooking ).
The restaurant in Covent Garden is downstairs in a canteen-like place with mostly refectory type tables & so can cater for groups. Non-smoking throughout .
Sadly, the 2 puddings which I could have eaten were all gone but we were very full from main course & snow peas (sort of starter/side dish ) anyway.

London is a very celiac friendly city. The grocery stores Sainsbury and Tessco (which have many London locations) each have GF sections with many cookies, crackers, pasta, cereal, etc. They also have great labeling to many other foods say "gluten free" or "contains gluten". The heath fast food chain Pret A Manger has good labeling and for breakfast you can get fresh fruit and yoghurt. Restaurants I enjoyed were Sophies Steakhouse (3 minute cab ride from the South Kensington Tube stop) has Gf steaks and chips (french fries). J. Sheekey is in the Covent Garden area and is a fabulous seafood restaurant. The head waiter will see to it that what you order is GF. I had scallops, squid, lemon sole, halibut, and prawns over several meals there. The Scandanavian berries are to die for as a dessert. Harrods has a food court that is beyond compare, they have a "regular" Gf customer at the seafood grill, just ask to talk to a chef and you are in good hands. …

Eating out in London (with kids)
We are thinking of taking the kids to London during the Easter school holidays (ages 3 and 7) - the 3 year old has CD - and wondered if anyone knew of a suitable place (with gluten free food to eat) with kids? Of course, we could do McD's without the bun! but thought there must be other possibilities in the capital, surely???!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Tate gallery always seems to have a gf cake on offer
We have been to a number of Italian restaurants that have good risottos, virtually all the indians are okay etc. There is also the Texas Embassy in Trafalgar squarew - tex mex. You can specifically ask for corn tortillas to have fajitas and their corn chips are also fine. It has a good atmosphere for both couples, groups and families.
If you venture out as far as Kingston their is the Riverside Vegetaria that lables food GF or in Richmond the Harvest Restaurant also labels well

I live in Kingston and use to work in Putney. The large Sainsburys in Kingston has a good range of gluten free food, including the freezer stuff. The Sainsbury's central in town obviously has less. Putney is okay but smaller site so less choice. If you're looking to eat out in the area then:
Riverside Vegetaria, Kingston labels which items are gluten free and not and is excellent food. Will need to book though particularly at weekends.
La Tasca, Kingston - tapas/spanish - labels menu GF.
Loads of lovely indian restaurants.
Destinos, Upper Richmond Road, Putney - tapas - i have always founds them helpful re gluten and good food.

My husband arranged an amazing birthday treat this week - a night in the Savoy. I knew nothing about it but he had phoned before and told them I was vegetarian and Coeliac and they were very good - I had a lovely evening meal (the most amazing pudding ever!) and they had arranged gluten free bread for the meal and for breakfast.
It is expensive I know but it was sooooo worth it!

In honour of my friends forthcoming wedding we (17 of us) had tea at the Savoy on Saturday. They were informed when it was booked that a GF tea was required (3 weeks ago)and they were brilliant !
I got a plate of GF sandwiches (and they'd lightly toasted the bread to make it nice)all done up like everyone elses, a plate of smoked salmon, a whole plate of little cakes (almond meringues, rasberry mousse, choclate cups with strawberry and cream....), and fruit salad. It was brilliant, and people were looking at my stuff with envy for once.
I heartily recommend it for a lovely treat.

The staff were helpful and unpatronising, but the service was rather slow. I had seabass with a lime and coriander dressing, lemon 'bits', squashed potatoes, artichokes and roasted cherry tomatoes, with winter veg (which I paid extra for) and then almond and pear creme brulee - all of which was very nice.
