Gluten Free Gingerbread Men
Prep and cook time: Up to 30 mins
Serves: 12
Ingredients 275g gluten free plain flour 1½ x 5ml spoons ground pure ginger ½ x 5ml spoon bicarbonate of soda 125g dairy free spread 125g caster sugar 2 x 15ml spoons golden syrup, melted
Method Preheat oven to 160°C, 325°F, Gas Mark 3.
Sieve the flour, ginger and soda into a large bowl. Rub in the butter.
Stir in the sugar, mix to a dough with the syrup, adding a little water if necessary.
Roll out to approximately 0.5cm thick. Cut out the gingerbread men with a 10cm cutter.
Place carefully on a greased baking tray and bake for 10 minutes. Leave to cool. Transfer to a wire rack.
Decorate with icing and sweets as desired.
