As Sheona says there are alternatives
polenta, rice, rice crackers, corn breads
but these may not actually be GF (they might be, of course)
Things that are naturally GF sometimes are contaminated with gluten (some research on Supp re this).
Unless a coeliac is sure a non-prescription item appearing to be GF is actually GF (eg has CUK logo) it is unsafe to consume it.
The advantage of GF prescription foods is that they have been ACBS approved.
