Travelling to Denmark
As a coeliac in Denmark or travelling to Denmark you will have some difficulties in buying glutenfree products. Denmark is a small country not only in size but also in number of coeliacs. The Danish Coeliac Society (DCF) has about 1.200 members.
Shops:
Most of the ordinary shops like Brugsen, Føtex, Irma and Kvickly have crisp bread from WASA and some have dark bread from GLUTANO. They also have flour from the Swedish producer FINAX and glutenfree flour called ”Jyttemel”
In some health food shops, you can find products from Dr. SCHÄR, ORGANS and GLUTANO. Finding these shops we can help you by refering to the web page of Dr. Schär, where you can find outlets for their products. The web page is: "http://www.schaer.com/"
Bakers:
The Danish Coeliac Society also has two bakers that we trust in making glutenfree bread and cakes. The problem is that you have to buy in the shop (frozen bread) or order in advance to have the products delivered at your holiday address. You must pay for the delivery. The addresses are:
Fuglsangs Bageri & Conditori (Jylland) Specialbageriet (Fyn)

Restaurants:
The Danish Coeliac Society has no lists of restaurants where we can guarantee a glutenfree meal. These sentences explains the glutenfree problem in Danish:
Hoping this letter will help you, having an easier stay in our country, we wish you a pleasant stay.
Yours Sincerely
