GF Holiday in Luxembourg
Posted by Colin Kirk on 12/9/2005 GF board
Have just returned from a 5 day holiday that I organised in small town of Vianden in Luxembourg. Total of 44 in group, including 20 coeliacs.Hotel modern,en-suite rooms, very comfortable but much more important GF breads/rolls were available at fantastic buffet breakfast & evening meal. All members of group were served with superb GF dinners & GF meal was also arranged at wine cellars followed by time spent at local wine festival & fantastic firework display. If any CUK Voluntary Group organiser is interested in similar short holiday in 2006 please obtain my 'phone no. from Crossed Grain Magazine & give me a call. Please do not reply by E-mail.
... Maybe hotel could cope with other diets, but doubt it. Essentially a hotel that accepts group bookings from organisations. Our group, all East Sussex Group CUK members, 44 people, travelled by coach via Eurotunnel.Cost this year £250 pp. 5days 4 nights, single room supplement £35. No doubt these prices will increase 2006 due to heavy fuel increases plus other economic factors. This trip to Europe was the first ever CUK Group holiday organised outside the UK. Took me almost two years locating hotel, organising transport etc plus several local visits.
