GF board
I went all inclusive in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel wasn't bad, the buffet selection always had plenty of grilled meat and salads. I steered clear of the flat breads, even though they say they are corn based. Unfortunately I got some kind of stomach bug, not sure exactly where from but probably from road side stalls selling fruit juices, or a prawn dish at a restaurant on an excursion. There's always the Hard Rock Cafe! Have a good

'me' mexico Posted by Jill L/P on 20/5/2006 .....what a fantastic time i had!!! OMG the place was fantastic, it was a platinum all inclusive five star package, booked with Thomson in a Rui Hotel, we booked late so got a fab deal. The food was out of this world and absolutely no glutening problems. I ripped the letter of celiactravel.com to the hotel and emailed them before i went, got a quick reply back to just introduce myself when I arrive, which I did. I printed a pile of Spanish translations and took those with me too The chef (Cecil) even offered to make me my own menu each night, but there was that much food to choose from I knew that I would have a varied enough choice. The head of PR introduced me to the two chefs, and thought the email and translation cards were excellent. Each beveling Omar the sous chef would take me round the food stations (OMG never seen so much food) and point out what was ok and what was not, I ate like a queen all week. All cocktails were fine too, oh yes frozen cocktails in the swim up bar, or another bar, the 24hour bar, or the beach bar la de dah! I took the translations with me when going to other hotels, snack bars and restaurants on the resort and was advised correctly then too. Beach was like something of a bounty ad, the hotel service overall was fantastic, clubs in Cancun were like nothing I've ever been to before, have to go back it was wonderful, oh yeah the sun was great too, and there were baby dolphins in the water on our last day 6 feet away doing all the curling out he water stuff, ah it was fab!! If all Rui hotels are like this we have cracked it folks. .....the chef Omar, I have to send hinm a thankyou letter. Everything was marvellous......., Yutacan on same resort is right on beach but Tequila has the night club, and Omar!
