How to get the kids to eat haddock and brown rice (which both contain magnesium)

GF board
I cooked this last week and to my amazement the 6 year old decided half way through that she does like haddock!!!!! RESULT!!! This was after some very rude comments at the smell of fish while cooking and several yuk comments as they approached the table... It was a bit fiddly but well worth it! If you don't have children you could miss out the colourful bits and just do kedgeree with brown rice, butter, eggs, fish and parsley.
**Colourful Kedgeree**
1 cup of brown rice (250ml),
Butter
approx 3 smoked haddock fillets,
approx 4 boiled eggs
approx 2 rashers streaky bacon (optional)
onion
half a red pepper
handful of peas
chopped fresh parsley
In the microwave -
1. Cook the rice - put the rice in a large bowl and add 2 cups boiling water, cover and cook on medium for 20mins.
2. Cook the fish - put the fish between two dinner plates and cook for 4 minutes on high.
( flake the fish after it's cooked, before adding it to the rice)
3. Cook the peas - cover and zap for about 3 mins.
Meanwhile in the frying pan -
1. Lightly fry the chopped bacon, and the finely chopped onion and pepper.
And in a small saucepan-
1. Boil the eggs for 10mins, shell and cut into quarters.
Last of all, in a large saucepan -
1. Melt the butter
2. Stir in the rice
3. Add all other ingredients except the eggs and stir well
4. Add the eggs last and mix gently so they don't desintegrate.
