Franks' recipe for tattie scones Posted by Cassie M on GF board
Boil potatoes and let them cool, add a knob of butter and mash together cold, add a pinch of salt. Add GF flour any type to the ratio (at a rough guess cos he don't use scales) of 3 parts spuds to 1 part flour, add the flour bit by bit while kneading until a stiff dough. Turn out onto a floured worktop and knead again adding flour if needed. Roll out to a 1/4 inch thick, cut into shapes (traditionally triangles as well you know) and fry in a dry frying pan on a low/medium heat(GOT to be dry) until a mottled golden and then flip over, gold the other side and do with 'em as you will.
They are fantastic and me favourite thing.
