Re: California Posted by alex, richmond on 16/9/2005 GF board We went to California with our 7 year old celiac daughter in the Summer. In general we found labelling poor and shopping hard work. The best supermarket we found was Trader Joe's. They have a gf list on their website and a pamphlet version as you go in. Otherwise we had difficulty buying baked goods. I took gf flour with me and loaf tins and baked a lot. Also check out the kinnikinnick site for frozen gf baked items - it lists their suppliers town by town (maybe better in Canada but worth a go). My daughter was thrilled to Buy their gf doughnuts although admittedly we found those in Canada. The Us info was really helpful on the supp board here. We found the following restaurant chains helpful: Sweet Tomatoes, Outback, Tony Roma's - each has a website listing branches. Good Luck. www.traderjoes.com/stores/index.asp--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
