The German Coeliac Society advises visitors to contact them upon arrival in Germany. They can provide info and advice such as a food-list of Gluten-free products, local info regarding coeliac friendly restaurants and hotels etc and also stores where GF food can be bought. GF bread can be found in all 'Reformhauser' stores.
The society advises that you should not rely on the ingredients list alone ... because there are no laws as yet in Germany enforcing detailed labelling of products.
