... a pakistani dish called kheer. You need ground rice. Put a little bit of butter in a pan, when melts add 2 spoons of ground rice (it grows), cook it a bit, add milk...the more you add the easier it becomes to handle. Leave it a few mins and then serve. It tastes great on a cold day and even better with grated chocolate. It sets hard so you can leave it in small bowls in the fridge and just have cold or microwave. It has a ready brek feel to it.

Porridge: Here is another idea for porridge, from Paul in Ipswich/Norwich (+Canada),
Millet flakes alone or with maize (cornmeal) together may be nice for some. Light broen sugar or syrup a nice added feature.
