Pitcher & Piano Bars - Gluten Free Sandwiches Posted by Claire on 28/7/2007 GF board I have been doing some research recently as my mum and I are going to London for a holiday (she is the coelic in the family). So whilst browsing many a Google search trying to find her a restaurant lunch that is not a Jacket Potato or Omlette, I came across Pitcher and Piano bars. On their menu, there is a gluten free bread option for all their choices of sandwich, although having not been yet I'm not entirely sure if they consider contamination or not. Here is a link to their website if you want to check out their locations and menu: Link: www.pitcherandpiano.com/ ********** Re: Pitcher & Piano Bars - Gluten Free Sandwiches Posted by Eve on 28/7/2007 I can recommend the GF sandwiches, I regularly eat there if I go out for lunch from work. A bit expensive but so far so safe. **************** Pitcher & Piano Posted by Angela on 28/2/2008 GF board ....about Pitcher & Piano offering "doorstep sandwiches" on gluten free bread, I emailed Pitcher & Piano about their fillings and received the following reply: _ _ _ Angela, Thank you for your feedback. In answer to your question, all our sandwiches and main dishes are freshly prepared from scratch and therefore where the original format may not be entirely gluten free, the chefs can adapt most dishes to suit the dietary needs of coeliacs. In the case of the pork sandwich it would be a simple case of excluding the stuffing and replacing this with an apple compote. I hope this answers your questions but please feel free to contact me if I can assist you further. Regards, John Cruse _ _ _ Speaking personally, I can confirm that they adapted one of the sandwiches to a chicken and bacon for me. Looking forward to my return visit. ******************* ****************
