GF board
I've been to a Brewers Fayre and when I went to order I asked whether they had anything that was GF and they brought out this massive file listing all their menu items broken down into each ingredient which stated not only whether it was GF but also whether suitable for diabetics and all sorts of other dietary needs. A pain to have to go through but useful to know

Last time I went to a Harvester they couldn't say what was gluten free anymore as they no longer did an allergy listing. Went to a Beefeater and they couldn't have been more nicer, they bought the allergy menu out for me and discussed what I could have, alot of things are gluten free or could be made gluten free with a few adjustments, nothing was too much trouble and I've eaten at lots of Beefeaters since and had no tummy troubles and no trouble getting my request through either! Pity about Brewers Fayre though which is run by the same company as Beefeater!!

The Mallard Beefeater in Derby www.beefeater.co.uk/details.jsp? ... cinderhill when it was mentioned that i am gluten free they brought a file out which has all the meals in it. for each meal it lists all the ingredients, however, it only shows which ingredients definitely contain gluten. all the other ingredients have an abbreviation in the gluten column which the waitress explained means that they don't have any information one way or the other, so there are no guarantees. i had the salmon steak with potatos and veg but without the sauce which was shown as definitely containing gluten so it was a bit dry but the salmon was very nice and well cooked. the meals in the file didn't seem to be in any order so it was difficult if you found a meal on the menu to then find it in the file which had many pages so i found it easier to look through the file than at the menu. my brother works for a company owned by Rolls Royce and he had a company card which entitled him to 25% off everyones meals so that wasn't bad!
