Posted by Victoria on 30/10/2006 GF board We too had a lovely experience when we went to a friends wedding. The reception was at the Dolphin Hotel in St. Ives Cambs. We had advised them before we went that our little boy (3) was on a GF and milk free diet, and although the menu had been set in advance (chosen by the bride and groom) they did a complete GF / MF variation of the meal, I was a bit miffed because our little boys asparagus sauce had much bigger bits of asparagus in than ours! For dessert he was offered some GF / MF sorbet which was lovely too. When the evening buffet came out I asked the waitress for something for our little boy and she returned with some freshly cooked potato wedges, a little GF basket (sort of pastry type thing) with egg and mayonnaise in and some salad bits too - this too looked really nice and lucky for us and our son only being 3 and didn't manage it all we had to finish it off! The only thing that they got wrong was that he got an adult portion for his main course and not a childs!! It made the day so much better knowing that he was not hungry and we didn't have to rely on topping him up with snacks. Victoria ******** www.dolphinhotelcambs.co.uk/ **********
