Biddestone Arms in Wiltshire Posted by Mrs Bing on 11/4/2008 GF board ....came across this pub which is on the Gluten-Free-To-Go website. Hubby and I are just back from having supper there and I was impressed by the happy-to-please attitude. The menu isn't extensive but the food was lovely, the choices should please most people, and the service was friendly. The Landlady's daughter is CD, so she fully understands the issues. I somehow got the impression, mainly from the attitude of the staff I think, that the place is run well and to high standard, which is something I don't feel in a lot of pubs/restaurants. There was a homely ambience too. Worth a visit, and we're definitely going back. ********** Biddestone Arms The Green Biddestone Nr Chippenham Wiltshire SN14 7DG Contact Mr and Mrs Casey Telephone 01249 714377 www.biddestonearms.co.uk/www.gluten-free-onthego.com/ ************

Dutch Cottage Tea Rooms Chippenham
Posted by Mrs Bing on 20/5/2008
I don't know of any other board members who hang around Chippenham, Wilts, but this Tea Shop is very obliging when it comes to GF and they keep GF bread frozen ready to warm up for us! They also do a lovely polenta cake which is gorgeous.
It's on St Mary's Street, near Somerfield (soon to be Tescos Metro) car-park.

******************************************************** Dyrham House, Dyrham Park, nr Chippenham (National Trust) From Vee (on GF board): I went to Dyrham House (National Trust) with my family on Easter Sunday and ate in their tea room. They offered me ham salad or jacket potato but I didn't want either so the cook made me a lovely omelette with salad. Nothing seemed too much trouble to her. A nice reception for a change! www.nationaltrust.org.uk/scripts ... ERTYID=289
