Good pub food Cotswolds Posted by cathy (leics) on 27/9/2008 GF board Kept meaning to recommend The Red Lion in Little Compton in the Cotswolds for GF main meal. We went couple of weeks ago for snack lunch (I took fruit and ate it in the garden!!), but, had I been wanting a main meal (didn't cos we were going off for a long walk) the landlord offered all sorts of GF variations of the food on their menu board. He even offered to do the fish without batter etc. etc. He was so eager to help I felt a bit mean not taking him up on the offer, so I explained the walking thing. It was just so nice to be somewhere where the reception is so warm. Incidentally it's a very cosy pub, we'll be going back in winter for cosy country pub with fire (sans walk) when we can afford it (bit pricey). www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g1233690-d1047968-Reviews-The_Red_Lion_Inn-Little_Compton_Cotswolds_Gloucestershire_England.html
