had a very nice meal at the Slug and Lettuce restaurant www.slugandlettuce.co.uk/ on the quay side in Newcastle today. They indicate which things on their menu are gluten free and they have quite a few. Also they had a selection of Honeybuns cakes www.honeybuns.co.uk/ for dessert which are nice.

Re: Slug and Lettuce
yes, their new menu has removed the G.F symbol. they do still cater for coeliacs. the s&lettuce in Newcastle definately des. their assistant manager is a coeliac. i ate there at christmas and my g.f meal was better than that of my friends (work colleagues).
