Gf board
The Woodmans Arm pub at Wootton is very good as is the Crown inn at Shorwell and the Crab and Lobster at Bembridge. The Woodmans even has an 'allergy aware' sticker on the front door! Just a footnote - the cook at the Quay arts Cafe has left and the new one is keen to help but still learning about gf. ....

Warners Posted by sue Grays on 17/1/ GF board
Just came back from Isle of Wight, stayed at Bembridge Coast Warners hotel. They looked after me well. Gravy for everyone was Gluten free, scrambled eggs were a no no, good job I enquired. They had a gluten free dessert every day, banana fritters, pancakes and homemade rice pudding. Unfortunately the pancakes were like cardboard and rice was uncooked. Most of the icecreams were gluten free. Anyone else had this problem.I did not complain but I wrote a little note on their questionaire.

IOW From Pat Found some nice places for dinner (had a lovely meal at The Crab and Lobster in Bembridge last Saturday) Crab & Lobster Inn 32 Forelands Field Road Bembridge Isle of Wight www.crabandlobsterinn.co.uk/ Re: Crab & Lobster Posted by Pat (York) on 25/3/2006 That's the one. Although the basic menu looks a bit limited they also have lots of specials and they were SO helpful. They were willing to change anything for me and the manager came and told how it was going to be cooked. Wonderful.
