Isle of Wight restaurants - reporting back Posted by Carolynm on 7/5/2008
GF board
...I just wanted to share my experiences in the two Isle of Wight restaurants I eat in over the weekend, as they were both superb, and no ill effects.
One was The Bourne Hall Hotel, where I had a special menu all printed up for me and delightful 4 course meal, including full roast with gf gravy. The Chef is obviously very knowledgeable about coeliacs, and the new owners of the hotel couldn't have been more helpful. I would highly recommend.
The other was Morgans Restaurant in Shanklin, where again the owners were incredibly helpful and thought through all the ingredients very carefully. I had a Greek salad and then a wonderful fish platter with vegetables there.
Hope that helps anyone else planning on staying near Shanklin!
