I envy anyone who lives near Glastonbury!! Went to Somerset for the weekend and had a wonderful time. In Glastonbury we went to a cafe called Heaphey Cafe & Creperie where I was overjoyed to see on the MENU GLUTEN FREE CREPES!! The cafe is on the High Street near the war memorial and are very clued up on Gluten Free. I had a gluten free crepe with sliced bananas, pecan nuts, butterscotch sauce and served with Soya Ice cream as they couldn't guarantee the dairy ice cream. I could have had clotted cream but chose not too. Very nice and I also bough a gluten free brownie for later in the day, there was an assortment of gluten free cakes available as well.
Also had an evening meal at The Walnut Tree Hotel in North Petherton where the chef cooked me salmon in a watercress sauce, seasonal vegetables and although I had fresh fruit salad and cream for dessert, the fruit salad syrup had been infused with mint and booze making it the nicest fruit salad I had ever had!! Can't wait to go back there again!
