************************ eating out in Louth Posted by ellen on 10/7/2006 GF board I live in the the midlands but go sometimes to Skegness and I always make a point of going to Perkins Pantry in Louth for a meal. They have a choice of several g/f home made soups and g/f bread if you only want a snack but can also serve g/f meals, all food is fresh and local wherever possible and very reasonable priced. They even know the ice cream is local made and g/f so I look forward to a meal there, just wish it wasn't so far away. Only 5 minutes walk from my new office so felt duty bound to give it a try. Had broccoli and stilton soup with home made gluten free bread. They also did the usual omlettes, salads and jacket potato. Very knowledgable service. Only down side was no gluten free cakes www.lincsuk.com/perkinspantry.htm *************************

Posted by Debbie on 10/7/2012 GF board (if) ...you are coming to Louth, you should try smokey joes very nice www.smokeyjoesamericandiner.co.uk/********** Debbie on 11/7/2012 re American Diner my daughter eats there regularly with her friends they are brilliant at adapting the menu she has burgers, chicken, fries etc no probs. If you are a regular in Cleethorpes the place to eat is the Trawlerman carvery but u need to take your own gravy, the best place is the Countryman pub in Fieldhouse Road, Humberston just of North Sea Lane in Cleethorpes, the owner is very clued up and has a dedicated menu for gluten free, he makes lasagnes, curry he does just about everything apart from pastry he cant master it yet!!! sorry to go on but we eat there just about weekly
