Aviemore - the Mountain Cafe Posted by davidmc on 21/2/2010 GF board The Mountain Cafe In Aviemore main street is well worth a visit. There is lots of GF on offer and they are well clued up on cross contamination etc. I had the all day breakfast, a huge fry up including wonderful bacon, an amazing free range fried egg, gluten free sausages(that is what they provide for all diners from the local butcher -no gluten sausages anywhere), mushroom and home made gluten free toast as well as Gf baked beans and hash browns. The meal includes black pudding which they told me to avoid and they gave me extra sausages and bacon instead. There is also a range of freshly baked Gf cakes on offer and lots of other gluten free meal options. Check out the menu. www.mountaincafe-aviemore.co.uk/ ... tmenu.html

nr Aviemore- gluten free heaven Posted by davidmc on 8/8/2012, 13:49:06 The Rowantree country hotel just outside the town was the location for my best gf eating experience since becoming a coeliac. The menu was 90% gluten free and the food superb in quality and quality, with even gf pastry dishes available daily. That was a first. The sample menus on the web site have altered to offer even more for us. There was literally endless choice in all three courses. I would highly recommend the hotel and that you book dining in advance which can be done online. www.rowantreehotel.com/best-Aviemore-restaurants
