Subject: Eating out - addresses in Shetland
The wholefood shop is Scoop Wholefoods, Commercial St, Lerwick, tel 01595 695 888. They have the Dietary Specials range, but also every sort of flour / grain, polenta, tapioca, etc. Also the Alpro orgnic soya range of milks and yoghurts.
The restaurant at the end of the world (well, it feels like it!) is Burrastow House, Burrastow, Walls, Shetland. Phone no is 01595 809 307. Booking is essential for non-residents.
The Peerie Cafe on the harbour front serves lemon polenta cake which is GF unless they have run out of polenta and use semolina instead! And excellent coffee.
