....Curry - any of the Ashoka restaurants, especially Kama Sutra on
Sauchiehall Street. Mention you are coeliac etc. The dosai are very
nice and are gluten-free, sort of stuffed crepes made from lentil
flour.
Italian - Sannino's on Bath Street can do you GF pasta and usually
garlic bread too if you phone in advance. Very nice.
Spanish - La Tasca in Hope Street do GF tapas dishes.
..................................
........
Just remind the restaurant staff that no bread etc. is allowed unless specifically GF
or they may make you a GF meal and still bring you some 'normal'
bread....!
I believe the Pret a Manger chain also do GF food and there is a
branch on Sauchiehall Street.
Hope that helps a wee tiny bit and you have a very happy stay in
Glasgow
Best wishes,
Elf

Thought I'd like to share this with you.
I had a lovely Sunday lunch out yesterday at
Grassroots Cafe, 97 St.George's Rd. in Glasgow.
Their gluten free and vegetarian dishes are clearly marked on the menu, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious, with a good selection.
I'm still tasting the pleasure of their gf chocolate and almond cake

Had a nice lunch in John Lewis (Glasgow). Staff could not have been more helpful and were clued up on coeliac requirements. Two types of GF soup available (served with GF roll) and three(!) different cakes (had the Honeybuns Congo Bar)to go with the coffee.

Found a new cafe in the Merchant City in Glasgow yesterday for lunch.
Most of their menu is sandwiches, rolls etc but they were extremely helpful and knew exactly what was in each dish as everything is made freshly on the premises.
GF choice - some soups, baked potatoes with I think 6 choices (all GF - they checked the mayonnaise), salads (dressing was made with balsamic vinegar).
Best of all, for dessert they had THE MOST AMAZING pavlova. I tried it for quality control purposes and it passed!!
The staff were really helpful and were prepared to change things to make them GF if possible.

Not cheap, but nothing is in the Merchant City. Only a few minutes from Queen's St station so handy to know.
