In Malvern the Anupam Indian restaurant is very good quality. (On the main street about half way up.) They do a good Sunday Lunch menu (12.30 to 5pm) - £10 for adults £6 for children, with a lucky dip extra dish included. In Ledbury try the very expensive cafe above the cookshop on the corner by the lights - they do almond cake which is gf but pricey, Ok for a treat on holiday!
Pubs are a good option for eating round here as it's very rural:
The Bear and Ragged Staff, near Worcester, is excellent, but not cheap. It wins Pub of the Year regularly and can cope with coeliacs well.
The Wellington Inn, in the middle of nowhere on the Ledbury to Malvern road (A449?) is good - even the waitress knew what 'gluten-free' meant, and the gravy is made with cornflour, or at least it was when we went a few years ago.
The Plough and Harrow on the road from Malvern to Guarlford also serves excellent food, but not particularly keyed up for coeliacs.
We had a very bad meal once in Knighton, a central pub picked at random, will not go there again! In future I would try to pick a pub from the Good Pub guide - in general if they have a good reputation they can do gluten-free. There are also sites on the internet you can trawl to get an idea of how good the pubs are.
