Place for a snack Posted by sian north wales on GF board 9/5/2004 Visited my mum in Aberystwyth over the weekend and found a vegetarian shop that now has a cafe/restaurant above. I had a pleasant surprise to find lemon polenta cake on the menu which was GF- very yummy too! The place is the Treehouse in Baker St. www.aber-treehouse.com/restaurant.htm********************************* EATING OUT IN ABERYSTWYTH Posted by sian north wales on 16/11/2010 GF board .... Long time no write but I just had to tell you about a lovely meal we had last Friday in Aberystwyth. The restaurant is called the Olive Branch (opposite the pier) and they have a good Allergy menu for us, lactose free and garlic free. Pudds were lacking but I was too full by then. I had whitebait, followed by beef stifado. Gorgeous. Pity we got absolutely drenched coming form there (brolly blew inside out and died! Saturated pockets and handbag weren't nice!)

Belle Vue hotel Aberystwyth Posted by Sian north wales on 1/8/2005 GF board If you are like me and must gravy with your Sunday dinner then this hotel which is right on the seafront made me some. The waiters were very clued up as well. I had a very refreshing fruit assortment for starters but was too full to go for a pudd. www.hotelsintown.co.uk/hotels/be ... stwyth.htm

GF board
Hi everyone, just to let you all know about a fantastic little sweet shop in Aberystwyth we go to, we have used them before but we think we should let everyone know what they have done to help Coeliac's. They have labeled all the jars in the shop by hand checking the ingredients for Gluten.it's fantastic! It's just near the castle and another restaurant we use, which also do a lovely Tapas which is GF friendly...
...the Restaurant is called ... the ultracomida in pier street, it's a Spanish tapas deli style shop at the front but go to the back of shop which opens up into a lovely small Tapas restaurant which does a lovely paella and other GF food which all my family enjoy, and i must say,a nice glass of wine!! ....

New place to eat in Aberystwyth
Posted by sian north wales on 10/7/2012, 9:41:21
Went to a Moroccan restaurant in Aberystwyth at the weekend called Casablanca in Eastgate St. Had a great time and the owner/chef is also GF so very enjoyable. I had Dolmas for starter and a tagine for mains. You take your own wine. It is popular so worth booking. Another one for the board please.

A new restaurant The Starling Cloud is in the process of making a gluten free menu and will at the moment provide an ingredient/allergens list. I was able to have ham egg and chips. Lovely
