Wetherspoons in Poole Town Centre and on the Quay can do gf chips and can cater for Coeliacs on their curry nights. Pizza Hut at Tower Park will do gluten free pizza if you take a base in. You can eat in or take away but as all their toppings are safe, there's no need to worry one way or the other. Last time I got pizza there, they only charged £2.00! ….

From Peter on GF board
Took the kids to Pizza Hut ......, we could not have been treated better. We handed over our Schar bases, Kids and I ordered our toppings, Jane ordered her normal Pizza. We only got charged for the toppings as well, expected to pay a little bit more. All in all it was an excellent experience and one that will be repeated often.
..........They put your Bases in a clean Pizza Tin so your Pizza does not come into contact with the others, in fact all pizza's are cooked in tins. Next time I am taking a spare base for them to make aarlic Bread out of as they cook this in the same way.
.........the Pizza Hut I went to was in Stirling, but they say that all their places can cater in this way if asked.

I recently has an allergy information list from Pizza Hut (dated 30 April). In the Icecream Factory the ice cream, teddy bears and jelly dewdrops are all gluten free. Other toppings all contain gluten. Also their traditional ice cream is gluten free.

I've always used Pizza Hut and so far had no reactions!! When I go into any Pizza Hut I ask for the manager, explain my problem and produce my said pizza base!! I normally stick to a pizza with vegetable toppings and ham, don't trust anything else! Manager takes pizza base away and it is cooked on a plate so no contamination issues and plate is bought to my table with pizza on. I've had the salad bar as well and have used the fat free vinagrette that they have for a dressing. Normally I have a great time.

pizza hut again! Posted by hana on 25/10/2005 GF board I couldn't find this on the supp: I was searching the pizza hut website and on the page listed below they have a link to a PDF with allergy info! I am most impressed and take all previous comments back! Most of the stuff is a definite yes or no (rather than the 'we can't confirm nor deny!') Link: www.pizzahut.co.uk/menu/living_well/
