GF Board
Just back from a bit of sunshine and had found this place online so had to try it. We ended up going three times, twice in one day as wasn't very near where we were staying. It's a totally gluten free cafe in the posh Puente Romano hotel complex but open to all and you can see it from the main road that runs along the coast. It's between Marbella and Puerto Banus, virtually opposite the mosque, and we found iteasily though with sat nav. Anyway, it's not cheap but everything is gf . Lots of cakes, snack type meals like eggs on toast, burgers, quiches etc. I was a bit disappointed with the pancakes which though they tasted nice looked a bit strange and the tropical one had plenty fruit with it ,but not what I think of as tropical - lots of apple, strawberries raspberries, blueberries. The service was a bit hit and miss. - check your bill - but it was a lovely place to sit and was busy with the smart set so it should keep going. We parked for free near it and then walked along by the sea to Puerto Banus which took about 3/4 hour. Apparently there are two more Celiciosa in Madrid which is where I am going for a short break in December so I can feel a detour coming on! Forgot to say there are also dairy free and sugar free options so my diabetic husband enjoyed nice cake too. Result!!
