I've just been checking the database on the Italian Coeliac Society website for restaurant details and I see they have now added a page IN ENGLISH about approved restaurants/hotels etc. The English is understandable although a bit clunky. It helps if you know the names of the local town /region / province. Here's the link www.celiachia.it/DIETA/Dieta.aspx?SS=95.
There will be plenty of other suitable places but the ones on the database are checked regularly so a good place to start!
