You can make your own if you have 15 mins to spare and you don't need an ice cream maker. Whip together 1 pint or near metric equivalent of double cream with a can of Carnation condensed milk. It should be thick but floppy, not too stiff. Stir in some vanilla for background flavour, christmas spices and dried fruit to your own taste, and a small amount of alcohol if you want it. Put in a container and freeze until you want to eat it, minimum 6 hours. This does not need stirring during the freezing process and you get rich creamy calorific ice cream. You can flavour the basic cream and condensed milk and vanilla base with anything you like, my list of flavours grows almost weekly. I can compete with any Ben and Jerry's version according to my husband who is the expert taster in our house.
